muziektheorie > solfege en gehoortraining > huiswerkopgaves eerste jaar 2013-2014 / homewerk for solfege and ear training first year, 2013-2014  > March 04, 2014: harmonic dictations
I 'recorded' these dictations as .mp3-files in Sibelius. This gives a somewhat better sound than Scorch files usually produce.
Below are (links to) all the sound of the dictations. You probably need this pdf (with all dictations)  to work on.

The answers are here.
The exercises are dealing with all issues we have seen in other contexts as well meanwhile, summing them up in a way.
I tried to orgaize them a little:
  • exercises 1-5: diatonic harmony, including 'embellishing chords' like passing chords, neighbouring chords and suspensions, but still without II, III and VII
  • exercises 6-10: same as 1-5, but now including II; III is not used, VII only as triad, in first inversion
  • exercises 11-15: as in 5-10, and also: VII in all inversion, III. Apart from that: mixtures (md and dm and bII/neapolitan). So we are talking now extended diatonic harmony
  • exercises 16-25: same as before, and secondary dominants are introduced
  • exercises 26-35: some common patterns
